Never have I ever been to Cinebistro, or any “dine in” movie theater. I went to visit my sister, Tricia, in Richmond this weekend. I love seeing movies, so we decided to hit up Cinebistro in the swanking Stony Point Fashion Park. You have to order your movie tickets online before you get there. You also have to be there 45 mins early to get your seats and order food and drinks.

We arrived, ready to roll at 6:00 for the 6:45 showing of Ghost Protocol. The picture below is a little low budget on my iPhone, but there is a bar in the lobby! A real, nice, crowded bar.

We got our tickets and waited until the concierge told us that it was time to be seated. They took us to our theater and to our reserved seats.

The seats were huge! Each seat had a large tray, a cup holder, and full utensils and napkin. A waitress quickly came by and brought us menus.

Chef’s Table? Amazing. What kind of movie theater has legit awesome food? Flank steak? Chocolate Ganache? It seemed kind of funny and awkward to order it, but everyone else was doing it! Why not, right?

We decided on a bottle of wine, Grilled Flatbread with Balsamic Figs and Brie, and The Popcorn Bucket (popcorn chicken, popcorn calamari, and popcorn- sounds weird, but SO good). They bring everyone their food super fast, before the previews even start. Then you are free to eat, drink, and enjoy the movie without any distractions.

Cinebistro was awesome. I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie, but I didn’t care, because I was busy enjoying some wine and some delicious appetizers. The price of tickets are the same as anywhere else, so it’s really the same as going to a dinner and a movie. It was really such a fun experience! Now I feel spoiled and never want to go back to a regular theater. Oh, the delimma.
